Bassano del Brenta > East bank - North
Michele Brunelli
San Vito is a northern borough of Bassano located east of Brenta river. It borders the boroughs of Margnan-Conca d'oro (to the west) and San Marco (to the south), San Giuseppe in the municipality of Cassola (also to the south), and the municipalities of Romano d'Ezzelino (to the east) and Pove del Grappa (to the north). Though having an outer belt of fields and green areas, San Vito is one of the densely-populated boroughs of Bassano. Despite being built-up, it still possible to observe a large rosta: it is Ramo Unito, which derives from Tronco-Basso and Canale Ca' Barziza (Canale Industriale) and feeds the eastern and southern network of ditches that run through Bassano and the nearby towns.
<< Ramo Unito proceeding from San Vito, in the northeast of Bassano (in the foreground).
<< Ramo Unito (looking southwest): it flows toward southwest, short after entering San Giuseppe in the municipality of Cassola. It enters Bassano again, in the borough of San Marco.
