The borough of Rubbio corresponds to the half of the hamlet of Rubbio that falls within Bassano. The western half, also called Rubbio, belongs to the municipality of Conco. The borough is located west of la Brenta river, at about 1000 mt above the sea level. It borders Campese (to the east), Valrovina (to the south), and the municipalities of Conco (to the west) and of Campolongo (to the north). From the borough of Rubbio it is possibile to observe the Valbrenta 'Brenta Valley', Bassano and the Venetian lowlands. With particularly good weather conditions it is possible to spot the Venetian lagoon, as well. Stream Silan /si'laŋ/, a tributary of la Brenta, originates in Rubbio and joins la Brenta in Marchesane.
<< Valbrenta 'Brenta Valley' (looking southeast): Monte Caina, located in Rubbio, Bassano, offers a beautiful view on river Brenta and Valbrenta, the 'Brenta Valley'.
Rubbio (looking northeast): in the wood just behind the road, various rivulets originate stream Silan, which runs down through Rubbio, Valrovina, San Michele, Quartiere XXV Aprile and flows into la Brenta in Marchesane. In the background, it is possible to spot Madonna del Monte Caina (Our Lady of Mount Caina), from which the previous picture of Valbrenta was taken. >>
<< The centre of Rubbio (looking eastwards): the houses in the foreground and the bell tower (in the background) are in the part of Rubbio that belongs to Conco. The houses in the background and the church, just behind the bell tower, are in the Bassanese part of Rubbio.
