Bassano del Brenta > East bank - North

Michele Brunelli

Centro Storico, the historical centre, the old "core" of Bassano, is a borough located on the east bank of la Brenta. It borders la Brenta (to the west), Margnan-Conca d'Oro (to the north), San Vito (to the northeastern corner), San Marco (to the east), Ca' Baroncello (to the southeast), Santa Croce, Borgo Zucco and Quartiere Firenze (to the south) and San Fortunato (to the southwestern corner). Many monuments and historical buildings as the well-known Ponte Vecio 'old bridge' (it. Ponte Vecchio or Ponte degli Alpini) are located in Centro Storico, but the riverside is per se worth visiting. Especially in the spring and the summer it offers a very beautiful view.
